Hi! I'm Annie. Welcome to My World.
Some find it frightening, others amazing.You decide for yourself.
This is my poetry. Whether you like it or not is completely up to you, and I will not try to sway your opinion in any way. Now that that is off my chest, have a pleasant visit!
WHO I AM | |||||||||||||||||||
I am Annie. People call me Annie. There is no other name for me. I am who I am. I am very straightforward, and if I have a problem, I'll say it. If you have a problem, you can e-mail me at [email protected] I don't like people calling women inferior. I will not argue that women are better than men, however, we are equals and should be treated so. That is all you will get out of me unless you e-mail me. Thank you, and enjoy.
FOR ALL OF THOSE | |||||||||||||||||||
Make me poet laureate, for the soldier that writhes in pain, for the honored war hero, the one who has been slain. For the people who cry out, because of fear that's in their mind. For those who cannot really see the world, those destined to be blind. For those I'd love to be, and those I'd rather not. For those I want to love, and those who would rather be bought. Make me poet laureate, for those who care to see, for the enlightened and educated, those supposedly like "me." For the wife who lay crying, because her husband hurt her so. For the little runaway child, the one with no place to go. For that lonely little child, hearing "Daddy's just upset," as his daddy hits his mommy, something Daddy will soon regret. Make me poet laureate, for those I pass on the street, for those whom I ignore, the ones I don't bother to meet. For those who want to make a wish, in hopes it may come true. For those who just want a life, to be "normal" like "me" and "you." For those who really want a chance, but are cast into the cold. For those who would give anything, for a hug from a stranger untold. Not for those, the rich and wealthy, who always have a choice., But for those who cannot state their minds, those too meek or poor to get a voice.
